I started at 216 pounds at 20% body fat. Through the time with her she has help out tremendously! She got me down to 210 at 13% body fat. Helped keep my strength up to the point I was able to get a new PR for bench press. She is also a huge help when you're in a crunch. I was living out of a hotel for 2 months because of house issues and during that time she was still able to get my weight down and find me healthy food to get on the fly. I can tell you countless times I have text her to ask what I could substitute out because I didn't have it or forgot to get it. She also helped me get my passion and spark back for training and lifting.


All in all, I would recommend her to anyone! She has gone through it all and continues to inspire me to push forward in my goals in fitness and life.

      I have had an interest in physical fitness for most of my life, but whenever I attempted to meet my goals, I never ended up where I wanted to be. I’ve worked with other trainers before, but I saw minimal changes and the formula never really clicked. I pretty much reached the conclusion that my body wouldn’t change.

      I've been lifting weights for a long time, but never really saw the results I was looking for. I knew I needed to figure out my diet and lose some body fat in order to really see the muscle I've been building. When I reached out to Lauren for help with my nutrition, I weighed 217 lbs. For the past 5-8 years, I have been fairly active, mainly due to being diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic in my late teens. I ran a lot and “dieted” in order to stay lean and maintain my health. I was guilty of the eat less to be skinny approach. I was working out hard yet still had a fairly high body fat percentage for how little I was eating and how much I was exercising. My blood sugar was all over the place as well. I was coming to Lauren in hopes that I would finally start to look like all my hard work was paying off and that all those hours spent in the gym would start showing.

Since I have been working with Lauren, my physique and health has made a complete 180! While I thought I was fit before, I look better now than I ever have. My blood sugar is extremely stable and I only use a fraction of the amount of insulin I was using before. My diet plan is so flexible. Lauren works in so many delicious foods and will even accommodate any cravings I have. I’m so much stronger now and I am even training for my very first bikini competition; something I previously thought I would never be able to do! I feel good, I look great and I’ve never been more satisfied with my health. I have a totally different approach to living a healthy lifestyle thanks to all that Lauren has taught me.

I have always been into Martial Arts but I was never in great physical shape. From high school on for around 12 years I used to party all the time and it started to catch up with me. My metabolism slowed, I started to gain weight and one day I stepped on the scale and was 195 lbs. 

My wife Leila started running and doing weight watchers. She did a few 5k runs and then half marathons. Leila was out shopping and saw the LA Fitness guys, came home and talked to me about joining. That day we joined and started working out. We also signed up for the personal trainers and over time I started getting some results. In just over a year I had 4 different personal trainers and like I said I had some results, but nothing big.

I started to realize that my diet was the issue more than the work outs. I used a few different Nutritionists and I was getting a bit more in results but still not what I wanted. My wife had been working with Lauren and she had great results in a short time.

My name is Anete and I'm 30 years old. I have struggled with my weight because of emotional eating since I was a pre-teen. I've always compensated by being active and this helped me to keep somewhat of a shape even when I was heavier. I had a tendency to slim down during summer and gain it back (plus some) every winter. I like to call this "hibernating." I graduated nursing school December 2013 and did not find my first job until March 2015. Three years ago, I found out my blood pressure was 160/100, and my doctor wanted to put me on high blood pressure medication. I'm not a big fan of medicine, so I decided to do something about it on my own and I joined a gym. For three years, I worked out regularly and it brought my blood pressure back down to a normal range, but I still didn't look and feel the way I'd hoped to after all the training I was doing.

One day, I was talking to a friend and he told me that he used a nutritionist to help him customize his diet and workouts. I immediately called Lauren and set up an appointment for myself and my wife. We went to see Lauren within a week and she was great! She helped my wife and I tremendously with our weight-loss by telling us exactly what to eat and when to eat it. She also gave me customized training programs that helped take me to the next level in the gym. On March 10, 2001 I had a motorcycle accident that left me paralyzed from my T9, T10 down.  I also had multiple rib breaks on both sides, lacerated my kidney and liver, nerve damage in my arms, and a concussion.  I have always been an athlete and for the past 2 years I have been seriously training in the gym and eating according to my goal (look jacked and shredded).  2 years ago I was challenged to compete in a wheelchair bodybuilding contest. I decided I wanted to do this but I knew I needed help.  I worked with a coach for my training and diet for about 6 months.  After that I did everything on my own.  I knew I need help when it was time for contest prep.  I knew I would be smaller than some of the other wheelchair bodybuilders so I wanted to be the most shredded.  About 7 or 8 weeks prior to the show luck was with me and I met Lauren McLaughlin on Instagram.  After talking to her I knew we clicked and she was going to get me where I needed to be.  Each week leading up to the show I got leaner and leaner.  I have never been as shredded as I was ever!!  Any question I had she answered.  When I freaked out she calmed me down.  I may not have been the biggest but I was the leanest and I brought the best package I could with her help.  I placed 3rd in Novice and Lightweight Bodybuilding Divisions.  I’m training for my next show and I will have her with me and I will be even better on stage.  I wouldn’t do it without her!
